Turning on 2FA
- Open Settings, Security and click “Turn on 2FA”.
- Scan the code with an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator, 1Password or Authy. You can also enter the key manually.
- Enter the 6 digits from the app and click “Confirm and turn on”.
- Save the backup codes somewhere safe. Each one works once, for when you don’t have your phone with you.
From then on, fanero studio asks for your password and a code from the app when you log in. Turning off 2FA requires your account password.
2FA for the whole team
The Owner or an Administrator can tick “Require two-factor authentication (2FA) for everyone” in Settings, Workspace. You need to turn on 2FA for your own account first. Anyone without 2FA sees a setup screen the next time they open the workspace and can only continue after that.
Sessions, password and activity log
- “Active sessions” shows the devices logged in to your account. Log out a device you don’t recognise with “Log out”.
- When you change your password, your other devices are logged out. The password needs at least 10 characters.
- After a series of failed login attempts, the account is locked for 15 minutes.
- The Owner and Administrators see the “Activity log” on this tab: who changed what and when, with the IP address. Entries are kept for 12 months and can be downloaded as CSV.
Forgotten your password? On the login screen, click “Forgot your password?”. The link to set a new password is valid for 1 hour.
