A connection to a platform relies on permission that the platform grants for a set period. It can also stop working earlier, for example after a password change on the platform or when someone revokes fanero studio’s access.
How to recognise it
- A bar above the content saying the profile lost its connection on a given date. Statistics and comments from that profile stop coming in.
- A bar with the expiry date when the connection expires within 7 days. Until that date everything works as normal.
- On the “Connected accounts” screen, the “Status” column shows “Connected”, “Connection lost”, “Access revoked”, “Error” or, for example, “Expires in 3 days”.
- An in-app notification. A lost profile connection is a critical event, so the notification arrives even during quiet hours.
How to restore the connection
- Click “Reconnect” on the bar or open the “Connected accounts” screen.
- Next to the profile, click “Reconnect”, or “Renew now” if the connection is expiring.
- Log in on the platform and grant access to the same Pages as before.
A reply sent to a disconnected profile won’t reach the platform. The thread shows “Not sent” with the reason, and the person who wrote the reply gets a notification. Once the profile is reconnected, send it again. You’ll find a post that didn’t go out in Publishing, on the “Failed” tab.
If the “Reconnect” and “Renew now” buttons are greyed out, connecting to platforms isn’t switched on yet.
